The United States Breastfeeding Committee is pleased to introduce a new program: Friends of the USBC. This program is designed to foster relationships between the USBC and other organizations and individuals committed to breastfeeding protection, promotion and support. As a Friend of the USBC, you will be identified as a member of a core group of supporters who take an interest in the mission of the USBC. Your support will enable the development and expansion of USBC programs that work toward the four goals of the USBC Strategic Plan: Assure access to comprehensive, current, and culturally appropriate lactation care and services for all women, children, and families. Ensure that breastfeeding is recognized as the normal and preferred method of feeding infants and young children. Ensure that all Federal, state, and local laws relating to child welfare and family law recognize and support the importance and practice of breastfeeding. Increase protection, promotion, and support for breastfeeding mothers in the work force.
